Headed out to an undisclosed location tomorrow for a nice weekend father/oldest-daughter trip. Looking forward to a nice hike with beautiful N.C. scenery and weather.

Had a great time at Rock Castle Gorge, Va. with my oldest daughter.
I had made a looong silnylon tube before the trip (not a snakeskin, more like a huge stringbean) to hold my large winter tarp. Worked great. No more stuffing that thing in a teeny tiny little bag, and that's a real time saver! I love it when things work the way you want them to.
Weather was great. Scenery was good (lots of ice storm damage up on the Blue Ridge Parkway at Rocky Knob, near Stuart, Va.).
Will post a very short trip report soon with pictures.
