Big Bend: The Movie Part 17 - Going Home

In this, the final part, we meet folks at the CAF who are from NC and are buying the C46 to take it back to Monroe Executive Air Park... we see thousands of T. Boone Pickens windmills along I-20... we film an Aston Martin... and we come across the ruins of a tractor trailer after a particularly bad tire fire.

Thanks for all the videos, MacEntyre. It's great to get a peek at a stretch of this country that I've never seen before. Sure is BIG SKY country out there!!
    Beautiful and interesting terrain!

    Mac,
Ya'll come back now, ya hear! It's always sad to leave, but you are always welcome to come back. Next time maybe you can make it during the full moon. October moon is huge! My dad and I have had many great great adventures in those canyons. He guided tours down the Rio for many years. Miss him.

I didn't figure out that we should do that until I read about it on BigBendChat. I will definitely visit during a full moon next time!

Hopefully I can meet up with you next time. Our hang out was near San Vincenti Crossing off of the river road. This is where the candallia wax was made years ago. The local elder(Necho) built a room on to his adobe house for my dad to stay when he visited. I can tell you some great stories about this area(ie fishing with dynomite, the locals not us.). Wish I had not been out of state this time.

Thanks Mac for all of the videos, I have enjoyed watching every one of them and it will be great to be able to watch them again in the future. Big Bend was the trip of a lifetime for me. It is so different from any other place I have ever visited.
We had ourselves quite an adventure....A....

    You are entyrely welcome, Skippy!

Now I'm working on getting the still pictures posted online, and copying your CDs so I can get them back to you.

Do you have a date for your next Pinhoti hang?

I thought about either the 9-11th or 16-18th of April. I will put a feeler out this weekend and see what everyone wants to do. I hope you can come.
