    Snake skin

I feel like a moron for asking this but.....

I'm the proud new owner of a SWT and it arrived all nice and neatly rolled up in what can only be a snake skin.

How in the name of all that is precious is it possible to roll that thing up so nice and neat and get it inside that little tube?

I am missing something very obvious huh?

Yeah, but how do you get a tarp rolled up so neatly and inserted into the snakeskin?

    Congrats on owning a SWT.

LOL...When I got my Claytor, it came in an impossibly tiny package...had to have taken three people, a very large table, and a vacuum sealer to do that.

HaHa I am only laughing bc I remember the same feeling when my Winter Ptarmigan arrived...It was stuffed in a sack so tightly I never though I would get it back in. But I did with some work and opted for a larger compression sack any ways because I wanted both quilts to fit. As for how to get your tarp back in the snake skin...just play around with it and it will work.
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

Hey 10-K. Glad it arrived safely.

As for using the tube, when the tarp is strung up, just start at one tie-out corner and start rolling the vertical side towards the ridgeline. Once you get about half of it rolled up, reach across to the tube and start sliding it towards the middle. Then just keep rolling the tarp and sliding the tube until the whole thing is swallowed up.

I've seen it done in a video, probably one of Shug's. I'll look around an post a link if I find it.

Your tarp has to be hanging with the snakeskins on your ridgeline tie outs.
Watch this video and you can see what and how it works... 3:54:
