Which is the better bug net?
I know that question may sound vague, but both have their ups and downs.
Hopefully someone has tried both and can chime in here.
ENO Guardian Bugnet:

WB Travel Bugnet:
Cost-$65.00
Weight-7.5oz
Material-No-see-um mesh.
Suspension-Hammock Suspension?
Horizontal Zip.
I guess you could use the Bugnet as gear storage also.
Not even close. The WB bugnet is almost half the weight and easier to use IMO due to the horizontal zippered opening.

I have an eno bugnet and it is very heavy. WB is your answer. I am about to make a new diy net.
my WB bug net arrived earlier this week. It has no suspension of its own. You need a hammock ridgeline to keep it up.
It's nice and light. I couldn't imagine a 1lb bug net.
WB is 1/2 pound lighter that the ENO and only $10 more. I have spent a lot more than that to save 1/2 a pound of pack weight

no way i would carry a bugnet that comes in at 17oz...thats insane
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold
with any bug net you might consider "the end zipper mod" (which I have yet to do with both my eno and wb nets, my next sewing project). a zipper at the end will give you a "mega-mouth" that will slide over what ever is in hammock. During times when you don't need the bugnet, just push it to the side.
Newbie here, first post, and glad I looked at this thread, since I ordered an ENO bugnet on Amazon.com for $39.95 today (with free shipping, and a gift card). I balked at the 16oz weight but hey, since I have an ENO DoubleNest I knew it would be well-made and tougher than my friend's Byer Moskito which is in shreds. I like the wide-mouth end mod mentioned on another thread and am not afraid to use scissors. So my question is, what is it that makes the ENO half a pound heavier than the WB -- zipper vs. velcro? Fabric? If the difference is $25+ rather than $10, is the WB still that much superior, or could the ENO be modified somehow to be both lighter and more user-friendly?
