    Hello....Newbie here..

Hello everyone.. Total hammock newbie here.. I will try to spend time reading all the other posts so I don't repeat questions already asked but...
I do have a couple to just get me thru the day.. Looking at the clark,
My question being, Do those pockets really offer that much warmth for the bother?(PRONOUNCED MONEY).. I will primarily be starting spring, summer and fall (turkey and bowhunting) season use age.. No winter for now..
I do like the weather shield idea, but can't get the price right now, combined with the ultra lite, and xl.rain fly.. Saving me a hundred or so from the n.a.
    Thank you in advance!!

Howdy Stan, welcome. wheres abouts in Michigan?
I don't have a clark or pocket filling experience, but some here swear by them. The pockets seem cool, the price is pretty scary tho. IMO.

    Stan:
Welcome ot HF. I have the NX-200, because it fit my big 'ol backside better, and don't really use the pockets for warmth reasons. I use them to store items off the trail and as a place to keep items that I may need during the night that I don't want in the hammock with me. They are functional but again I don't use them for warmth. I have a Kick *** Quilt Under Quilt (KAQ UQ) that I use instead. When I ordered my CJH fit/comfort was the goal, had a little extra Uncle Sammy Money that year!!!!! I have stayed out in 50*F weather with nothing but a SI sleep mat (uninflated), a fleece blanket and weather shield deployed with no real issues, I was shilly but not freezing. I hope this helps or it may just be rambling again about my CJH.

Obsessions are never a sickness!!!! That comes when you see the massive hole that used to be your bank account!!!!!!!! There is no cure now that you are infected. Go to Jeff's site and check it out, I think its a pre-requisite to asking questions and not experiencing total info overload on hammock camping.

    Hey there Stan ...
I too am from Michigan ... Southeastern to be exact. I would probably look at the Warbonnet Blackbird if I were you ... Awesome hammock and at a good price and great quality. I can't speak for the Clark hammock since I do not own one. I just bought a Warbonnet Blackbird, Warbonnet Big Mamajamba, and a Crowsnest UQ. All great quality ... Haven't received my Crowsnest yet but I am sure it will be great ...Take a look at those and see ... Also ya got to get "Down with the Sickness" ... ....Welcome ..
