You're right on whitefoot hp! It's wicked simple, but headchange is correct in the fact that adjustments later are a pain. One more reason why I tie my HH as tight as I can get it; helps eliminate late night adjustments.

According to Ed Speer, properly reinforced stitching is stronger than a knot in the straps.

headchange, when i went to the strapwors site that you linked, i went to webbing, then polyester 1". it said 3500lbs & .30 per ft.
is that the same you were talking about?
i may buy some just for the extra strength when i need to use trees farther apart.

I think I'm gonna get some also. Charcoal color. No stretch and much stronger than Speers webbing.
I notice the stretch alot when I hang around 20 feet apart or so.

I was wondering about the colors. They only show a red on strapworks website.

They only have a picture of the red webbing, but their dropdown box lists 8 different colors.

I've ordered from them a couple of times, and have found their customer service to be absolutely top notch. Don't forget that they will do any custom sewing to their webbing for token fees.

just curious... have you weighed your 1" webbing from them?
i wouldn't think that a 12' or 15' length would be much heaver than the webbing from speer hammocks.

On my scale the strapworks 1" weighs 6 oz. for a 12' length.
