    Quick Snake Skins question

Once you have your tarp in snake skins, do you then put them in a stuff sack? Or do you just toss em in your pack? Or does it just come down to prefference?

This has been bugging me. The question sounds so stupid to me, but I have to ask.

I don't use a stuff sack when I use skins. Actually, I don't use a stuff sack when I don't use skins...I just stick the tarp in my outer mesh pocket. The only time I use skins on my tarp is when I want to tie out the ridgeline but not deploy the tarp yet...like when the weather is sketchy but I'm taking a chance that it won't rain.

Otherwise, since I store the tarp in an outer pocket for quick setup in the rain, either a stuff sack or snakeskins are extra weight for me.

Once I put the skins on the tarp and then take it down from the trees, I keep folding it in half until it is the size I want and then I wrap the endlines around the skins to keep it in a tight bundle. It then goes in outside pocket.

Same here, or strapped to my pack some where.

I do the same as Happy Camper. Just fold up the skins, loop the cord around & put it in an outside pocket. Very simple. That works for me.
