    What kind of ENO knot?

My ENO Doublenest just arrived (48 hrs after ordering-thanks to Sarah at Gear for Adventure). Before I cut the factory suspension ropes, has anyone figured out the kind of knot used? Part is buried, but it looks somewhat like an alpine butterfly. Just curious...

I didn't look that closely. I just whacked that sucker in half and was done with it.

I second that. Got rid of it and went with the whoopieslings.

I didn't pay it much attention either ... the line goes through the channel twice and is knotted ... then the knot pulled back into the channel ... but past that I couldn't say either.

Was just curious. Had to also buy a Samish knife to properly cut the line. I think my wife is suspicious that I am starting my own gear store in the basement.

Did not have a problem untying the knots on my doublenest, to be honest it looked like plain ole square knot to me. Replaced with JRB triglides

I just received my whoopie slings in the mail today and I am going to install them this weekend. I looked at the knot on my hammock. It looks like two loops with the tail that attaches to the clip is held down by the outside of the two loops.

not a clue what that stock ENO knot is. I just untied mine and pulled it out. replaced with a loop prussiked onto a SMC ring. whoopies, drip lines, and ridgeline attached to the ring.
