First Tarp! Finally got some pictures.

Finally got around to setting up my tarp, it's been done for over a week now... It's not the prettiest pitch, but I'm in a hurry (headed out of town and decided to just throw it up before I left)

This is my first sewing project other than very small tinkering here and there.

Cost me about 55 dollars and approx. 12-15 hours of my time. It was a great first project to get me into the world of DIY!

    Criticism? Comments? Both are welcome.

(PS - You may notice an excess of talcum powder on the top -- don't worry about it, there's a story behind it)

My only criticism .............. is that I don't own it!
Looks roomy and sweet. Like the yeller trim....... bumble-bee-ish.
Now ... swell with pride. You earned it!

Looks great! I like the yellow trim, too.

Do I see a late-60's Vette hiding in the garage? Talk about a cool project!

Thanks! And it is roomy! I was surprised. Especially compared to by friends 8 x 10 (via DIY speer kit)

    One question I have:

Does it matter that I seam sealed the outside of the seam? I realized that the package said to do the back side of felled seams... but of course I realized this after I had already done it.

Should I go back and do the other side? I can't see how what I did wouldn't hold up, but I'm no expert.

Yeah, it's a '69. It's my dad's, he always needs something with a motor to work on. That's just his current toy.

I only seal the outside of my tarps. Never had a problem. It's up to you.

Very nice looking tarp. I too am digging that yellow binding on the edges. Gives it that Pittsburgh Steeler look.

I suppose so, if you like football

Like shug said, to me it felt more like a bee/wasp sort of look.

It looks good with that yellow wasp like trim . We feel the sting of not having one ourselves. Good job,,,enjoy
