    Kids Bridge Hammock

2sticks (daughter) has outgrown her original bridge hammock. She has decided to let it go at a great price to a kid who will use it. The hammock is a diy project so don't look at my sewing skills from a couple years back

It will come with hammock, suspension, and stuff sack. It is a double layer bridge that is 48" long so this is for the younger kids in the family. I like the bridge hammock for younger kids because it is so easy to control the bottom insulation with pads or UQ's. The suspension triangles are extra long to help stabilize the hammock. I also use webbing/rings suspension because you can make fine tune adjustments when the kid is in the hammock. I have checked hammock and laundered so it ready for a new home.

Below are some pics in my gallery from a couple of our campouts.

2sticks talks about this hammock in the video below and gives the price

Post in this thread if you are interested after watching the video

This hammock allowed me to spend time with my daughter camping at an early age. Hope it can do the same for another parent.

That's a really neat project, hangnout. I wish my kids were still short enough to use it! Y'all are gonna make someone a happy kid!

Wish my kids wouldn't have eaten all those vegetables now....

    What a sweet kid, hangnout.

I know an orphanage in Haiti with lots of pint-sized kids...If you want to go that route?

    What a great idea hangnout!

Well I would like to throw the name of Ben and Tom into the hat. They are 4 and 2. I am constantly finding one or the other in one of our home rings. They would really get a kick out of their own (one that their big brother and sister can NOT get in..LOL My 11 and 9yr old can't quite squeeze into it anymore (my 9yr old is just excited that she can ride more rides at the fair now...LOL).

2sticks - how very generous of you! My daughter, Celia, would love to have this hammock. Right now I either take her or my son camping because we currently only have 2 hammocks. Celia would love to have her own! Then all 3 of us could go together.

I am going to throw my eldest's name in the race as well, Jack. He is turning 3 this Easter and loves playing in the yard in Dad's hammock. I might have to agree with hangout that a bridge is the way to go for little ones. As much as he squirms around in the hammock he has a tendency to fall out of the gathered end style. A bridge style might help to alleviate this. So, I might have another project to look forward to if Jack isn't the winner.

I'd like to include my youngest in the drawing. She's just the right size for the hammock, and winning this one will save me from making one for both her and her older sister.

    Isn't she cute?

Of course, if she doesn't get her way her personality changes a bit...

OK, this was a Halloween prop, but she had fun helping me build it.

    Hangnout,
Put me on the list as well, either of my two girls (8 n 4) would love it, there loving the cotton top sheet hammocks that I hung in their room for them to sleep in and all they keep saying is when we go camping will we have hammocks to sleep in, very hard question to answer, wish I had some DIY skills, and sewing machine because seeing your design would give me something to try! Thanks 2sticks this is a really great thing that you are doing, your gonna make some other kid just as happy as you!
