Who would be interested in a New England/ New York Sate Hang?!
Places we could go:

I have voted for maine just because I am closest to it. I live in a canadian border town right next to " DOWN EAST" maine so anywhere in maine would be best but would be ready to go further for a good hike/hang.
All the places mentioned look good. Being I'm from NY I've camped in the Adirondacks quite a bit, but I would like to try Vermont or New Hampshire. Maine is a bit out of the way but I have family up there and would not mind seeing them again. So all selections look good to me. The last variable is when. I'll keep monitering this thread to see what comes up.
Glad this is being investigated. I was going to work on organizing a NEHHA (Northeastern/New England) Hang or two, but got called back to El Paso, TX to work on a project through August. So that kills my ability to participate in a regional event until the Fall.
I will follow this thread closely; I'm hoping to plug Tinny (Minibulldesign) into a group hang, it would be a good thing. He is currently a ground-dweller, but he's leaning towards the trees. Oh, yes, he's leaning.
I'm thinking that since we have some folks from New Brunswick & (maybe) Quebec, a site in Eastern New Hampshire/Western Maine might be a good compromise, considering where everyone is coming from.
I'll hate to miss this, but...gotta earn a living so I can stay in Maine.
Anyway, Carry on. I'll be with you in spirit, at least.

could be interesting doing an international hang
I will be in NH for much of the summer and would love to make the hang. Any of those choices look interesting to me. Most of my experience is in my native NH, but would welcome an excuse to travel to one of the other states.
Do you want to pick a central location?
Maybe you all would like to check this out for a location and timing for the hang. Aug 7-8 VT Long Trail Festival, Rutland, Vt., Fairgrounds,

Even though I spend a LOT of time in the Green Mountains, I'll still chose it. Centrally located for almost everyone in New York/New England.

I ♥ my Warbonnet
i've never been up that way. i'm cool for a drive anywhere. i'd just like to keep that drive below 3.5 hours if possible. but i'll still probably go...
Count me in! If you want to do Green Mountains I can scope out some places to do it. Let me know how long a hike is preferable and I will keep it on my list while doing early season hikes.
Weather this weekend looking good for an outing!!
