    Question Stupid question time.

The grosgrain ribbon I bought (1") doubledover 1/2" doesn't melt if you try to seal the cut edges. Any tips for preventing the edges from fraying on a finished cut? Have been doubling over the finished edge and sewing over top of but don't like the finished result. Any input?

Cut your grosgrain a little long, (3-4 inches) and hem?

Wife says it might be rayon. Check the material if you can. One trick used for ribbon is to cut the ribbon on a fairly sharp diagonal. Use of pinking shears to do so is recommended.

However the wife is brilliant. Use clear nail polish or a product called "fray check". Either one will solve your problem.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.
