    Official MI HANG, June 11, 12, 13 2010

    First Annual MI Hammock Hang, 2010

    Location: Deep Lake Campground / Yankee Springs Recreation Area Heres a map. (Deep Lake is located on the right side of the map.)
    Cost: $12.00 per campsite. Sites are not site specific, first come first serve.
    Vehicle Pass: $24.00 for state resident, $29.00 non-state, or Daily pass per vehicle per day, $6.00 for state resident, $8.00 for non-resident.

    Amenities: Vault toilets, pump water, 120 campsites, lots of trees, firepit and picnic table at each site. Mountain bike trails, foot trails, boating, fishing, kayaking on Deep Lake (there is a launch site within the campground), kids welcome. Parking at your site. Showers are available nearby at Gun Lake campground. Swimming available at Gun Lake. All sites are camper/trailer friendly, if needed.

    Good sites for hammocks: #'s 46, 47, 48, 50, 53, 57, 59, 61, 66, 68.
    A short distance away, sites 19, 21, 99, 100.
    Please call and make reservations for yourself. Or use the website,MIDNR RESERVATIONS SITE for placing a reservation. You'll only need two nights, June 11 and 12, unless your staying longer.


    Meet and greet Friday evening: 5pm till dark. Group bon-fire after dark.

    Potluck Dinner on Saturday (bring a dish to pass), 5:30pm.

    Possible Raffle:?? After potluck dinner.

    Departure: Sunday A.M. at your liesure.

    I reserved my site in the Deep Lake Rustic Campground for June 11 and 12th! There are only 58 sites left for those days... better act quick or they could be gone quick!!!!!!!!!!

    Put me on the "maybe" list. I'm still up in the air on when I'm closing on a house up there, and that may just take every penny I have.

    Couldn't two vehicles be at a site? Save some money and keep the group closer together.

    If folks want to share sites or carpool, that'll be up to them. You'll have to work that out amongst yourselves.

    Count me in for the hang.

    I'm trying to reserve my campsite at deep lake and it gives me 2 options...Type 2 and Type 5. Which should I select? The website doesn't seem to be allowing me to pick a specific campsite.
