I was browsing around over at BPL, and in their coverage of the ORSM show they have a pic of a prototype underquilt that's coming from ENO. It's probably not revolutionary or anything, but it's always nice to have more options.

That looks nice. Got any specs or a price on it? I would assume it would be synthetic. This will be great news to all those ENO owners here on the forums.

About time ENO got with the program. If they come out with a good lightweight bugnet and tarp I will be a very happy camper.

Now that I'm home from an oh-so-busy-night's work, I've e-mailed Pete Pinholster @ ENO and will hopefully get at least a couple details out of him, no matter how minor that may seem. It'll probably be at least tomorrow before I hear from him, hopefully he'll tell us something about it. Inquiring minds want to know.

In the BPL companion thread to the article that mentioned the ENO underquilt, when asked for more details one of the staffers said:
That's at least SOME more detail. Sounds kind of like a Speer PeaPod to me.This ENO hammock quilt is a prototype, they are hoping to ship this fall. That's a big caveat, because it weighs three pounds. They are hoping to release the final product in the 1.5-2.0 lb range.
This version had heavy fabric, short staple synth insulation.
Full wrap around the hammock (it's not just an underquilt), secured by hook and loop.

yep, that does sound like a pea pod, except for synthetic insulation.
