Thanks to all for the welcome! Yes I love to fish, mostly remote locations TroutEHCuss.

Jim S......dang, small world! I'm sure this (or any) forum could benefit from someone with your level of outdoor experience.

I backpack and fish in the Southern Appalachians, we got more trees and small streams than the law allows. Might as well hang and fish.

    Thanks again.

I have a Clark NX250 and my rectangular homemade UQ works just fine with it.

I've slept in a Clark North American for two nights, I liked it. I like the storage under the hammock. My only concern was do you give up any warmth in deep winter with that design (storage underneath).

I tend to be very performance oriented, I don't worry much about brands, if something works well for me that's all I care about, you know, within reason.

Welcome to HF from a fellow Sandlapper from Greenville. You will find a wealth of good advise and more than a few characters lurking around here. Good luck.

Trout, as you can see by my profile, I use a WBBB w/ 3/4 underquilt and a GoLite Ultra 20 topquilt. It's pretty much good for year-round in my neck of the woods with some added clothing like a down jacket. PM me if you want to discuss my setup.
