1st Full night in a GrizzBridge and the numbers...

Last night I spent 6 hours in a GrizzBridge....5-6 hours is my normal sleep time during my work week. Under the GrizzBridge was a Mt.Washington and on top of me was a 3sMamba (and when I woke up two cats on my chest, forgot to put the cats inside the house before I went to sleep).
    The numbers:
    cf spreader bars 4 oz
    tree huggers 3.2 oz
GrizzBridge with integral UCR suspension 12 oz
    aluminum toggles/s-biner 0.8 oz
GRAND TOTAL 1 pound 4 ounces

Could have shaved maybe another 0.5 ounce with the tree huggers...the onces I grabbed while setting up are the tree huggers that come with the BB--one triangle per strap.

I did take a pillow outside---necessary because you are laying almost perfectly flat in a bridge.

Honestly I can't believe I slept as long as I did....I've preferred gathered end style hammmocks for so long....at this tot. weight I'm being swayed (in a bride get it HA!) I did set it up seat height and as a chair its OK....Shug and AS pointed out the side views because of the shallower cut--the view potential is def. there.

Griz's work is of course flawless. Only thing I would add....GrizzBridge has an integral stuffsack at the head end....is a piece of velcro to the stuff sack...the sack itself is big enough to hold your huggers and dutch clips if used.

I didn't play with the 1/2 bugnet but will when the bugs come out.

All in all Griz has done an incredible job working the theory and putting into practice a comfortable rig this is sub pound without huggers.

I predict that the GrizzBridge will be marketed but not by Grizz, his own words state that he won't be the one making/selling them.
Like everything, the GrizzBridge won't be for everyone but I'd venture that it will be popular if for no other reason than the weight.
Also looking into the future and a bridge hammock specific tarp, since the GrizzBridge tapers toward the foot end it may be possible to have a single pole modded tarp with the mod near(er) the head end.
I was asked (again) tonight whether I prefer the bridge design or the gathered end style....my answer was probably swayed by deep emotional attachment and years of use-I still choose the gathered end hammocks but like I said, this iteration of the bridge design is incredibly tempting.
Now I'm in pursuit of a tarp that will suit the bridge.
