    Camo Pattern HH SS

I received my new HH SS yesterday and when I opened it, to my surprise it is a camo pattern. I emailed Hennessy to ask them about it because #1 My HH ULBA is brown #2 It doesn't fit as well as I believe it's supposed to #3 I've never seen any other Supershelters in a camo pattern.

They responded that it must be a mistake because he too doesn't know of the SS coming in a camo pattern but wasn't for sure if they have changed. Naturally they will exchange it for me but I just wanted to ask the HF folks if anybody has seen any of these supershelters showing up in camo lately?

It would go very well that the new-ish Camo Hex Fly that they offer but it really does clash with my all brown UL Backpacker.

    Very strange.

Do you think so? Humm, I would seriously consider that but I don't intend to lose any money off of it because I would need to immediately order another one and get stuck with paying the huge shipping cost again. So, I doubt that anyone would want to do that. But it is a thought and certainly won't hurt posting it before I ship it back.

I'm going to use it this weekend though so that to is another problem. It'll be "used".

If it is indeed their error, why are YOU paying shipping costs?

Shipping cost for the original purchase if I sell this one and buy another one. If I send this camo one back, naturally they will pay for the shipping to send this back and the shipping for the replacement.

My comment was based on the notion of selling this one. I would have to sell it for what I paid including the shipping because HH won't reimburse me for the shipping if I keep it. I know..now you get it.

My SS (which I ordered directly from HH's web page) was also camo patterned.

It's odd that whoever you contacted at Hennessy was unaware of the color/pattern. Weird!

I bought mine just after Christmas, and it is a variation (improvement) of the US Woodland Camouflage. It appears to be the same material that Scott was able to get a limited supply of in this photo:

It isn't the best photo of my SS, but you can see the camo here:

Hey everyone. Used the HH SS this weekend and it works as hoped. The pad is easily damaged though. I popped a hole in it thinking that I needed to adjust it after laying down. My thumb went through it like butter. I can't wait to get my IX Insultex HH SS under pad from Mac. Hopefully that materal is tougher. Anyway, staying on topic, yep, Hennessy Supershelter is now in the camo pattern. The customer service rep emailed me and said that I could either return it for a brown one or keep it. They are going to update the website to show the new camo pattern so that others won't be surprised to see it as I was. So, that's the update on the camo pattern HH SS. Apparently it wasn't a mistake. That's how they come now. For me the SS seems to work at temps down to around 38 since that's the lowest it got on Friday and Saturday night. It might be good to go even lower than that but I was using my usual Montbell 25 degree UL SS bag with a Sea To Summit Thermo Reactor Bag with fleece long johns and top so I was comfortable. I Sleep cold but it was clear that I could have been comfortable to temps slightly lower than that. Not much mind you but certainly a little lower. OK folks, that's that. No more mystery on the HH SS Camo Pattern. It is what it is.
