here is my Bugnet i just finished today.....very simple ...you get in from the bottom...comes in at 6.5oz i played around with it and it's very easy to get in and out of...
also my Hammock stand i built the other day with the help of my wife
Also made the gear pocket hanging from the ridgeline LOL....i was on a role this week

very nice work on all of the DIY projects. Got a question.....what length 4X4's and how many did you use. This is something I am going to have to make because the 2X4 one I made is a little "flimsy" for me to be in. My daughter causes it no problems but when I get in it the arms want to bow a little........I gotta have a "big boy" stand now!!!!! I guess what I am asking is what were the dimensions that you used to make the stand?

the stand i made i used 4 - 4x4x6, 4 - 4x2x8 2 L shaped metal plates
and 4 8inch bolts with locking nuts
if i were to make a new one...i would get a 4x4x12 for the bottom....
also cut the ends at i think 30 degrees to make it wider ...

My stand looks VERY similar. Except mine has strap hinges so I can fold it up.
I like that net a lot. What kind of material did you use? Did you sew it on a sewing machine? I bet a complete net separate from the hammock pulls less, no? Sometimes, I notice that I've got an elbow or a knee pressing on the net portion of my sewn-in net instead of on the hammock portion. That's going to end badly, I can tell already! Thanks for the pictures.

it has no pull at all..it fits the the hammock very nice...
it doesn't...when you lay in the hammock...it fit forms around the hammock so it make a seal...i was thinking of adding shock cord at the bottom to close it up more...but after my first test i seen it was not needed...so it saved me a few oz
