Yes, you understand what I tried to say. I happen to have one long AHE chain link sitting at home not in use so I will give it a try. I was just going to grab whatever line I had lying around but this can be much more elegant though not quite as light. Thank you.

Does this make any sense? Just thinking. Will try it next week.
This will work fine, I do something similar on my HH. The point is to pull the UQ up more than out.

The reason for the use of silnylon was to help protect the bugnet over time from the sawing effect of a cord moving across it.

Ahhhh. I hadn't thought of that.

Guess I'll be making a couple of ripstop triangles the next time I pull out the thread injector. Thanks for the input.

I've had folks ask for Hangnout Triangles to use with their IX UQs!

Now I have a use for small pieces of scrap silnylon.

With my WB Traveler I pass the IXUQ lines thru a biner on a prussic on the ridge line. Gives me infinite adjustability. Especially good to gather the end snugly under my shoulders.
I THOUGHT GETTING OLDER WOULD TAKE MUCH LONGER.

I do the same thing on a DIY netless with ridgeline.

The triangles as pictured work best on the WBBB but the concept of pulling UP instead of OUT on the UQ suspension works on all setups. There are lots of ways to get there.

You could add an external ridgeline with about any hammock and use the prussic loop idea to achieve the goal of pulling up instead of out.

The triangles actually reduced my suspension weight by eliminating a lot of 1/8" shockcord. The same thing would probably happen with the external ridgeline since you would not need as much suspension cord.

Well, I had planned to have them done up just how I want them before making any kind of announcement but yes I have talked with Hangout some about them and I think we will be offering them in the near future.

I use this method as well with a cordlok on the shockcord forming a loop allowing me to adjust the tension from the biner as well. Infinitely adjustable. I really like this method.
