New Hanger in Texas (in Austin)

    Howdy,

I found my way here from a wilderness skills group that linked to Shug's N00b How-To videos and Grizz's videos on suspensions.

While the dream is to get a Clark, the impulse buy was an Eno DoubleNest with Slap Straps. I swapped out the stock biners for a pair of Black Diamond light-weight ones, but I'm trying to decide on Whoopie Sling v Straps for the suspension.

I've enjoyed what I've read so far, thanks all!

I have just swapped out the suspension on my ENO DN for the lightweight Cinch Buckle and chain link that Paul sells at Arrowhead Equipment. Soon another order of them will be here and will replace my Cinch Buckles in my Clark NX-200. They are much lighter than my old ones from OnRope1. I truly like the simplicity of the CB/Strap combo.....strap around the tree, through the loop, tighten, feed thru CB, tighten, make adjustments. I have not tried the Whoopies yet and can't wait till my Amsteel gets here from AHE. I guess I am now going to try my hand at Whoopin!!!!!
I hope this helps and good luck with the hanging.

    San Antonio Here! Welcome!

I have a thing for Whoopies, but cinch buckle systems are pretty quick to set up and that is what I used to use. Whoopie Sling systems are lighter and sure are easy and fun to make.
