Can anyone give me the low down on the Necchi "Thread Injector" brand. I found a Necchi SUB22 for a decent price. Any good? Better than Brother?

I would be hard pressed to choose Neechi or Brother as "better" given the same year of manufacture. Neechi is a very well known and respected brand. As with any item individual units may or may not meet the standard expectations. I would not hesitate to purchase a neechi if the machine was of an age that I trusted the innards. The late 60's and beyond until recently were a switch over time to plastic gears and they were, by and large, unsatisfactory. The modern plastics used are a vast step ahead in improvement. Still I prefer an all metal innards machine.
