WBBB Double Layer-light weight sleeping bag in between?

So i just ordered my Warbonnett Blackbird DL and i was wondering if my summer down bag (REI Down Travel Sack 45*) could be slipped between the layers as insulation rather than a pad? (i also have a synthetic travel sack if that would work better??) not sure if this would work as my weight will "deloft" it????? but was wondering if anyone has tried and if it works better than slipping a sleeping pad under it??

you could but it won't be any good...the layers lay right on top of each other
so you summer bag will get squashed....so you won't get any insulating value from it

best to use a pad....or rig the sleeping bag up like a UQ

    and welcome to the forums
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold

It would be cool if a double layer hammock possessed a bottom layer that was cut looser than usual. Then drawstrings were added to that bottom second layer around the edges while still retaining some cut and looseness in the middle. The drawstrings would allow this layer to be brought in close to the first layer while still allowing an amount of loft freedom between the two. This could accomodate all kinds of lightweight bags, down quilts, blankets, pads and ect. The drawstrings could be constructed in a way to tailor many different things. Just a thought and don't even know if it would work.
