The Denver forecast is low of 42. We will be 4,000 feat higher at about 9,500. 5 degrees per 1,000 ft. - so an overnight low of 20ish. I scouted the area last weekend. The temperature in Bailey at 6:00 am was 20 degrees.

We can all hike in separately, but how about meeting at some time at the two historic log cabins near the shafthouse?

A lot of the area near Lost Creek Wilderness is open range. The good news is that the Bison are all fenced. Saw deer, elk wild turkey, coyote and Bison on my scouting trip.

MrsMustardman and I just secured a dog sitter for the weekend, so we will be hiking in on saturday, hopefully early afternoon, and leaving sunday before dark. Trying out some new gear this weekend, including our AARN packs and a bear canister (required in RMNP, so might as well get used to using it now).

I'll probably hike in Friday evening.

Ok - I can't make it in on Friday but I still plan to hike in Saturday.

    I am out

I had the opportunity to rescedule a medical procedure for next Tuesday and I need to get some some done over the weekend to miss two days next week.

It's officially on - I got the bag of Jack Link's beef nuggets. It's not camping until I've got me some jerky.

Don't know if you left yet Jeff, but we are planning to try to find a campsite near the stream and some big boulders, so if you're looking for us, that's a good place to start. See you on the trail!

I'm leaving now. If you're still around, check you PM and give me a call.
