I'm taking 3 weeks of leave in June, headed to the east coast...gonna fit in at least a week of hiking by myself if I can. April is almost over, and probably not enough time to plan. That leaves May. Memorial Day would probably work best for a lot of folks...not so much for me, but I might be able to make it work.

Everybody throw out two weekends in May that would work best for you, then I'll tally them up and add a poll to this thread with the top two weekends...no need to start a whole new thread for it.

8/9, 15/16, or 22/23 all work for me. We have prior obligations the other two weekends.

Ok - only a couple answers so I put up the poll as 15-16 and 22-23 May. Either one works for me but I voted the earlier one.

We'll pick a location next. I liked Burning Bear for the CWH but I guess we should go somewhere new this time. There's a reservoir near here that I hear is nice - Rampart Reservoir. I tried to go there a couple weeks ago but the jeep trail was gated about a mile from the reservoir, and we weren't hiking in that day. That should keep it pretty isolated, though.

This might be the first trip I get to use the Bushbuddy on! I ended up not camping last night b/c the snow isn't the fun kind right now...

    Congrats to Mrs. Warbonnet!

Any chance you could make it on 8-9 May? Or will you be getting ready for her graduation?
