    Hammocks, Hammocks, Hammocks (Episode 1)

After years of experimenting, I’ve settled on the handful of hammocks I use on a regular basis. But now I have quite a few others that I don’t use, so I'm thinning the herd. With this listing, I'm offering three different hammocks.

    ENO Skyloft Hammock
$105 shipped* (retails for $130 plus tax and shipping where applicable)
    ENO Skyloft.jpg IMG_5099.jpg IMG_5100.jpg IMG_5101.jpg
    Color: Olive and Grey
Brand new with tags, never used. The stickers are even still on the carabiners. I only removed it from the storage bag this one time to take these photos, then it went right back in the bag.

    Includes:
    • Everything you see in the photos from the carabiners down (including the carabiners).
    • Storage sack shown in the pictures

    Does not include:
    • The CLs that the carabiners are attached to
    • None of the rest of the suspension from the carabiners to the trees

    Hennessy Hammock Expedition Classic Hammock
    $95 shipped*
    IMG_5107.jpg IMG_5109.jpg IMG_5133.jpg IMG_5134.jpg
    Color: Green with blue trim/accents
The most popular Hennessy hammock (at least that's what they claim on their website).

    Includes:
    • Integrated bugnet
    • SRL with ridge line organizer
    • Adjustable, reflective shock cord guy lines
    • The original HH snake skins
    • New CLs - red at head end and silver at foot end (just recently replaced; never hung on)
    • I’ll also include an off-brand stuff sack (not shown) because I don't have the original stuff sack

    Does not include:
    • The original suspension approach (I wanted more suspension options and flexibility, so I changed everything out and added CLs like a regular GE hammock.)
    • Webbing straps/huggers
    • The rain fly that came with original complete package
    • The original stuff sack

    DIY 1.8 AIRWAVE Netless Hammock
    $60 shipped*
    IMG_5102.jpg IMG_5103.jpg IMG_5104.jpg IMG_5105.jpg
    Color: Charcoal Gray
I bought the 1.8 oz AIRWAVE™ hybrid ripstop nylon fabric because I’d heard a lot of interesting things about the strength and the soft hand feel and I wanted to try it for myself. I sewed the hammock with ˝” hemmed edges and triple stitched end channels. The ends are gathered using 7/64” Amsteel CLs I spliced myself (red at one end, black at the other). I added a fixed 7/64” Amsteel structural ridgeline (SRL) I spliced myself (gray).

    Specs:
    • Hammock: 135”x58”, 366g
    • SRL: 110”
    • Max weight limit: 350 lbs

I love the feel. Unfortunately, the fabric doesn’t come in XL widths (only the standard 60” width) and I’ve learned through experience that I’m really much more comfortable in a wider hammock. So now I have this standard width hammock I’m not using. I’m offering it up in case someone else wants to give this fantastic fabric a try.

    Includes:
    • The hammock
    • The SRL
    • The CLs

    Does not include:
    • The carabiners attached to the CLs
    • None of the rest of the suspension from the carabiners to the trees
    • Stuff sack (although I could add one for a small up charge)

*All prices include shipping within the continental United States. PayPal G&S only.

Bumping and dropping prices one final time.

    • Brand new - never used ENO Skyloft bridge hammock - previously $105 (20% off retail); then $98 (25% off retail) --> Final offer: now $91 ... (that's 30% off retail and less than most of the cheapo bridge hammocks that Amazon sells)

    • Used Hennessey Expeditionhammock - previously $95; then $85 --> Final offer: now $80 ... (reminder: that's WITH the integrated bugnet, snake skins, and ridgeline organizer)

    • DIY 1.8 AIRWAVE hammock - previously $60; then $55 --> Final offer: now $50 ... (that's essentially what I paid for materials plus the cost of shipping)

(shipping within CONUS is still included in prices)

If these don't sell at these prices, then I'll pull the post and probably take them to my local outdoor consignment shop or maybe post on a different platform. Or maybe just stick them back in my "extra hammocks" storage tub. They certainly aren't hurting anything there. It just seems a pity to have a perfectly good hammock go unhung.

I want to thank every person who led to almost 900 views of this post.
Views doesn't always equal sales of course, the ratings for the pilot episode are way down, and the cold hard fact has slowly sunk in ... only offer popular cottage vendor hammocks on this forum.

I'll be withdrawing my offers and will need to reassess whether to continue with Episode 2 and beyond since it appears likely that there will be little interest for most of the hammocks I was planning to sell here. I will close/move this thread shortly.
