    *2024 - 13th Annual Winter Yeti Hang (Frog Lake CG, Oregon) Jan 19th - 21st 2024*

    2024 - 13th Annual Winter Yeti Hang - Frog Lake Campground Jan 19th-21st - 2024
What - 13th Annual Winter Yeti Hang
    When - January 19th- 21st 2024
Where - Frog Lake Campground, Oregon
Why - Why Not......See you there!!!!

It's that time of the year again (3rd weekend in January) and I'm excited to put together another group hang. The hang takes place at the campground of Frog Lake. It is a short 1/2 mile hike in from the right side of the snow park as you enter. I will have flagging tape with "Yeti Hang" written on them leading the way for the ones that have never been there before or that show up at dark. Also don't forget your 3 day Sno-Park pass (which can be bought at many locations in Oregon) and 2 or 3 bundles of wood or more!!!!!I look forward to seeing all of you there!!!!

    Let the conversation begin!!!!!

I'm going to miss all of you. Sorry warm, sunny weather is on tap for me. I am planning a cruise with my bestie that starts that weekend. I am encouraging a couple friends including Santa to join you.

Crossing my fingers so I can make it this year! Work is nuts and if all goes well early January I should be able to break free. … Or if it goes tumbling down…

We usually have between 3 to 5 feet of base depth snow.....the temps have been around mid 20s for the lows, but that can always change.....there is a pit toilet not too far from base camp but bring you own TP.....usually the trail leading in is doable without snowshoes but where we camp is post hole city, so snowshoes are a good idea....if you don't have any, I could let you use my snowshoes to get setup and make a packed trail to your rig....around the fire pit gets a little slick after some use, so some kind of traction crampons are useful....hope that answers your questions, but if not, just ask and we will be happy to help....be safe on you journey
