Back home thawing out.
I had a 20 set, top and bottom quilts
Stacked with a zero set, top and bottom.
And to prevent feeling cold, I used 8 HotHands hand warmers Friday and Saturday nights.
Around 200am got too hot and put most hand warmers off to the side. Then around 500am added them back into my various pockets
Got a learning experience this weekend, I need boots better suited for sub zero temperatures
And Friday and Saturday used insulated bib overalls. That helped lots.
I do have some pain in fingertips, gonna research to find if I was starting to get frost bite. Hopefully not serious.
I always thought, I’d get smarter as I got older——nope, no way.
Much thanks to Homemade Hiker, Chappy, Jim, Bob, and Hickery, for cooking up a storm and having hot water and coffee.
Shug, good luck recovering from surgery
And thank you Marci, for keeping park open for us.
We could have been booted outa there! And thank you again for plowing campground roads.
