Full time hammock sleepers

Hmmm Not actually a full time (or even a part time hammock sleeper) but since my full time girlfriend and hopefully one day wife, has back and shoulder problems while sleeping in a regular bed I'm going to see if I can convince her to try some alternatives...

Maybe we'll be full time hammockers before too long. She's moving in, in a couple months so I need to get this sorted out before then.

You could build a frame with 2x4s and hang the hammock from the corners. I'd say you'd want it 48-52" wide, 30" tall, and as long as you need for your hammock (96" is what I remember you saying you were going to build). Will take up less space than a queen sized bed.

Did you see this post? I would do it differently for an inside stand, e.g. use full length posts for the long edge.

A guy who can build boats could make a really nice stand. I look forward to pictures!

Oh yeah, I remember that thread now. Come to think of it this kind of frame wouldn't take up much more room than my bed. Plus if I broke it down everyday I could save even more space. w00t.
