    DIY Bugnet 2.0

hey i was messing around with my bugnet and ended up trimming off some and adding in a shock cord like i originaly was going to...this saved me 1.1oz

also maked getting in and out alot better...the only thing i don't like is trying to get my UQ on...that was fun

but it wasn't too bad ...so here are some pics
also it didn't compress my UQ at all

Total Weight is 5.4oz with the stuff sack

Hey! Nice work! I really need to make one of these. I have a few questions :

Did you buy your fabric from Speer? About how much did you use?
Is the entry on the bottom, and you just cinch it tight up under you?

    Thanks!!

i got the no see um from another member on the forums...but you can get it from quest fab. ...or any Fab. store online around $3 a yard
i used 7 yards to make it...i do have a good bit left over but i wanted to make sure i had plenty for when i got started
the bottom does not get cinch up...the shock cord keeps it closed up most of the way and you can stretch it open 2x the size...since your UQ will be right under you there is no need to have it close all the way ...oh yeah and about 2 yards of shock cord

and yes it is a bottom entry

By bottom entry, do you mean the net, the hammock, or both?
