    Oak Mountain (BHM, AL)

Just wanted to share some pics from my 10+ mile hike down the Yellow Trail on 4.18.10. Couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day. Got in a little geocaching along the way also and then finished the day with an hour or so of hanging.

Great pics! Made my blood pressure go down just looking at them, which is what being out in nature is all about, IMO. What brand hammock is it?

Those are old abandoned cabins from probably 50 years ago. There's some up there that are even older than that and all that's left are the footings and the chimney. I have one marked for a good camp site.

Amen! It's Alabama Outdoor's own brand of hammock and it's a double. I would give you a link but their site doesn't list it.

Best thing would be to call them....

Been there tons of times on my mountain bike. Never hiked the yellow trail or seen those cabins. Thanks for sharing! Now I'll have to check it out.
