Airtight fabric?

i am thinking of starting another project(finished my first tarp about a week ago) and i need some fabric that will be airtight. anyone have any idea what i could use and how to sew to keep it from leaking air. thanks

There is heat sealable materials that you can make your own air mats out of. I think thruhiker has some.

cuben is airtite, can glue or 2 sided tape, use it for all sorts of stuff. comes in a bunch of weights! gnome

cuben is 25$ or so /sq yd, and usually can be bought from the co. only in 9 meter swatches. 54 in wide only. some of the H forum suppliers sell it in smaller amts, I am sure someone will come up with names, this is a helpful bunch! pretty dear stuff but fun to play with! gnome
