    progress on my new underquilt

    i started making making my first underquilt on monday,
    its 48x40, differential cut, with pleats. thanks alot to greenlespaul for his help and especially to stormcrow, i dont think i could have done it without him, it curtainly wouldnt have came out as good.
    here are some pictures of it thus far, i dont have the down in it, and i havent added the grosgrian, or any suspention to it yet.

    there are only 8 chambers, the other seams are the pleats sewn it, to give it the shape,
    complements of stormcrow.

    PLEATS!!!.....PLEASE! Now you've done it. You've up-ed the ante so that any future DIY'ers will feel inadequate if their quilt doesn't have pleats!

    thanks guys, it was my first project, apart from a couple stuff sacks, i cant wait till i get home so i can finish it up, i flew out to florida and im driving back to california tomorrow.

    It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold

    i have all the grosgrain and tie outs sewn all, except for the one side to put the down in, just waiting on the down to finish it all up. im really happy with it though, cant wait to try it out.
