I'm not a rookie sewing things, but I am definitely a rookie as far as hammocks are concerned. The one time I slept in my single layer hammock, I was cold. In a pinch I set up my cotton experiment hammock under it and was much warmer the next night. I definitely want to go with a double layer hammock design.
So my question...
Is it better to sew the second layer to the hammock or is it possible to let them hang separately. My idea for the hanging separately is that I could add snaps to the under layer and snap it over the hammock for warmth. It would also be much easier to build if I don't sew them together. So instead of a second layer make an underhammock.
