    Need Recommendations!

First let me say, this has nothing to do with hammocks but I wasn't sure where else to post. I'm posting here in hopes that some of you DIY'rs can make some fabric repair recommendations for a pullover garment I use for the hammock in colder weather.

It's called a Cocoon UL 60 Pullover & I bought it from Backpacking Light when they making their own ultralight gear or it maybe it was made for them by Bozeman Mountain Works. Anyway, the fabric is a very soft nylon material and feels really satiny smooth to the touch. A seam has busted open & I think it's too delicate to sew, but not sure. I'm thinking a patch could/would be a better way to go about the repair.

Overall, it's in great shape & I think it's got a lot of life left to it. Plus, it's been such a great piece of gear over the years & it's too good a piece of gear not to try & save. So, if any of you DIY'rs can make any recommendations, I'd love to get your thoughts. Sew or patch? If patch, what type of material, where to get it, how you might apply the patch, etc.

    Sorry for the picture size!

    Thanks in advance.

    Tenacious Tape for the win!

It lasts indefinitely and is so easy to apply. Love the stuff.

I found another piece of gear that had a fabric tag on it, Pertex Quantum. The pullover is actually part of a synthetic gear ensemble I bought for tent & tarp camping but it has worked out really well for the hammock. Lightweight 3 season quilt, the pullover, pants & balaclava... good stuff.
