Upper tarp pull outs

New guy here. I have seen on this forum some place the suggested placement upper tarp pull outs. I have finished my hammock, really like it. Just putting the hammock up and trying it out between rain showers, I can hardly wait

Welcome rac, what size and style tarp did you make?

Yep, that has become a pretty useful option for some.
I would put the tarp up, maybe along w/ the hammock, & play around w/ it, pushing out on the tarp in two places, on one side of the tarp, using something that would not hurt the tarp (trekking pole handles). Do this while laying in the hammock for best results.
That way you can see just were you want them before sewing.
Or just use Grip Clips so you can move them around.

gargoyle, the tarp is a copy of backwoods Daydreamer, Winter dream. No pic. yet the machine, tarp and I are in the battle mode. 12 by 10.
