I was thinking that a spring gate could be made out of the spring of a clothes pin. But I still don't think it is needed or I would do it. It just sounds like a cool idea. I would need to leave more material on the end.

maybe i'm missing something. but a sewn loop in the end of the webbing makes for an easy place to slip the other end through. atleast thats what i do.
I agree whole heartedly. That is why the C buckle makes it worth it. The biners wiegh too much IMO for the conveinence of not taking the strap out of the buckle. But cut that weight by 1/3rd and my laziness kicks in.

I think it's going to be a long drawn out affair.
Many, many battles will have to be fought.
    Floggings, bloodshed....it could get ugly.
But if we keep up the good fight, it looks like we are a mere two hundredish posts away.....
However, they may have us beat on the views.....

This was where the ring buckle with rope was first suggested... and tested...

At least so far as I'm aware.

only if we can find the bottle opener. Otherwise we'll have to use our teeth to crack the tops on our fancy imported bottled beer, just like we did on on Old Milwaukees in high school

Clearly the strap loop doubles as the bottle opener... Although it takes practice when there's a strap in it...
