You accomplished two things. First that the nine can hold a lot of weight.
Second, the WBG hitch is also satisfactory. I also noticed there wasn't a half hitch in there. Is that true?

Scott it is true that it was purely WBG's hitch. I used coated nylon rope from REI and I think the outer wrapping really catches. I would use caution if the line was real slippy like coreplus from BPL. Having a wedgeshape on the nonload side really helps. It was hard to remove it and was what finally started to cut into the line. I'm still waiting for the vectrux rope with the 2000 pound test. I just wanna break something.
