Should I upgrade? Do I need to? Help!

    I need some help...

Getting more serious about hanging... I am trying to get my gear together for the upcoming season. I have a WB Blackbird which I upgraded over my Eno Junglenest with Atlas straps.. I need some help with suspension ideas. I like the idea of tree straps with Helium carabiners.

My real question here is... I am a big guy around 300 lbs... Should I upgrade to Dutch 3000 lb straps and Dutch 1/8 amsteel loops OR should my strap system that came with by Blackbird do fine for me?? I see the TI dutch clips are rated at 300 lb so I do not want to push that.

    HELP??

Warbonnet suspensions have served many well. You should be just fine with straps or whoopie slings.
    Carry forth.

Agreed, Wbbb straps are one of my favourites for simplicity and they are strong. Shug has been my guiding light in the past, trust him.

Thanks Guys! I just don't want to be caught in a mess and break stuff when I'm out on a trip.

I really like the WB straps and buckles. I check 'em to see that the strap entering and leaving the buckles is flat. I often add half hitches with care to avoid any twist. Then ride with confidence. Those are my everyday suspensions for a long while now, but you know, all the buckles are strong.
