    new guy, siam Hammock man

    strideredc here

new to the forum but not hammocks. been hammock camping since 2001 when i brought a siam hammock in bangkok. since them i have used it all over SE asia including the jungles of Sumartra, Loas, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, Burma Malaysia...you get the picture

i now use it in sunny Sussex in England. my wife uses a large canvas hammock that we got in India years ago and my mates use DD Hamocks.

the Siam is still going strong but needs a small repair that i can do on my machine...

last winter me and the wife got very cold and i am looking at making and underblanket.

    great forum

Welcome to the forum. It looks as you have hammock down pat. As for your insulation needs for your climate there are several ways to do that.

Take a browse through the DIY and Bottom insulation areas of the forum for more than you could ever want to know about under quilts/blankets.

    Cheers

    Brian

    UQ are expensive.
Have you tried using a pad ?
    Way cheaper than a UQ.
