ike, curious where and why you are using a bead.

The locked brummel goes .75" down from the intersection of the lock.

Should I whip up a pictoral?

I'm thinking of using a ridgeline under the tarp for my Hennessey Explorer tarp, in hopes that it will do away with some of the loose bunt that HH tarps have along the ridge. The nacra/prussik on the ridgeline underneath will work to furl it, just as it would on the outside.
===> I tested different ridgeline set-ups with my HH Exped recently, in the wind, and stringing a separate line for the tarp worked wonders ...pics in my gallery. Now, if I add Prusiks, I think it will be perfect! Will be experimenting the next two days in the deep woods in NH. Will take pics, of course. But based on my first tests, a separate ridgeline is the answer .... the hammock does not move much in the wind while the hammock does.

    YMMV
