Sir Whitewolf and I were talking about different methods of pitching my 11 x 10 JRB tarp. I mentioned wanting to try dual ridgelines, but at the time figured the best method for doing so would be to have 2 trees beside each other on either end of the tarp.
But, after coming home I had another idea.
The idea is a collapsible spreader bar, similar to that of the JRB BMBH. It's just a concept at the moment. I'm looking for ideas what to use as the spreader bar. The weight saving method would be to find a trail stick to notch out on either end after cutting it down to length.
I need ideas for securing the spreader bar to keep it from sliding along the ridge line. Any ideas on how to do this without abrading the ridgeline (2mm dyneema)?
