    5/8 or 5/15 in Michigan?

I came home to find a Brownbird had been delivered, reminding me that I'm a year older. If anyone would like to help me test it out, I'm going to try to do an overnighter on May 8th or 15th. Both are Saturdays, but I may include Friday as well. I don't know where to go, but within a 2 hour drive of Detroit.

I'll have to celebrate Mother's Day with Ma Bell. But if you are interested in the 15th, I'm also looking for suggestions on locations.

Any suggestions on locations? I've still got out-of-state plates and identification, so the cheaper or free-er the the better!

To be honest.. Havent given it that much thought. Things are so hectic right now. Im not that familiar with the LP... most of our camping is done in the UP. Perhaps someone else could chime in...

Next two weekends are a little busy. Sorry.
As far as camping and hiking areas on your side of the state, I'm at a lose for suggestions, never did much over there.
Hopefully....the east side will voice up?? at least give the Trooper some suggestions folks..c'mon.

I bought a book at the local REI, hoping it would point me in the right direction. But, it appears there isn't much in the southeast part of the State. The official sites appear to be too far to knock out in a weekend, so this may be a true exercise in stealth camping!

Watching this thread, hoping some HFers will chip in with advice on 1-2 night hikes in SEMI.

Anyone hiked in Hadley Hills area? Or anywhere with good overnights relatively secluded in the area? I've looked at the DNR website and it looks like Hadley Hills only allows camping in the equestrian area, if memory serves. I haven't called yet but will soon to clear that up.

I'm going to try the Pinckney Recreation Area next week unless someone suggests something better.

I tried this morning, but I'm a bit stiff after being rear-ended at a stop light.
