    Sliverwood Lake California, trip #2

    Well...

The wife and I went out on her 2nd Hammock camping trip last weekend. We had a blast!

She had made a couple of new items she wanted to test out, so it was a great excuse to go out for 2 nights and test everything thoroughly. We went up to Silverwood Lake, here in Southern California just because it’s only about 40 minutes away and she really likes the place.

    New DIY gear we tested...

    12' x 10' SilNylon tarp
    2 new Hammocks
    1 new Under Quilt
    1 new Doggy Hammock

1st night was cold, for Southern California. It got down to about 35* and windy. We set the new tarps up so that the ends came in like doors and we were able to keep the wind from howling through our tarps. Combine the tarps with the new Under Quilt the wife made and my night was awesome!

I’ve included a few pictures and yes… that is a doggie hammock with a dog in it…

    Here is the spot...

That's me trying out one of the new hammocks, with my new Under Quilt...

Gotta love the new tarps, with DOORS!

And here is the doggie hammock...

I have also included a short video that show off the tarps...

We are going up to Dogwood next month. So there will be some more pics and another vidoe coming...

    Thanks you Hammock Forums!

Nice well done. Silverwood the other end of the mountain for me.
I know about thouse windy mountain nights.
Tortoise never for a moment stopped, but went on with a slow but steady pace straight to the end of the course.

Very nice stuff!! The dog hammock is really cool, we've been looking for a shelter system for our dog, so that's an idea for us!!!
