i got to see a KAQ not too long ago one a HH and it worked great...also packed down pretty small for a synth quilt ...not as small as a JRB will but it wasn't bad


either way they oth make a great UQ....and you will be alot better off then with a pad

and there both on sale ..

but you also said you hav very little space...the JRB will pack down very small

mmmmm i think im going to s cough up the extra money for the nest, the kaq is just to big and the nest looks like i could take it into colder weather ans still keep it light and small

as for the bear canister over shoulder seems like its uncomfortable and would bother me, i like it in my pack right against my back i can barely feel the weight. im thinking of getting a kelty red cloud 5600 for my thru hike next month, my osprey atmos back is too small
