    Guide Gear Sleeping Bag

Guide Gear ultralight sleeping bag. On sale @ $19.97.
You could get 2 for under $40.00 use them in cold weather in your hammock. I plan on doing this with the 2 I have this weekend. 2 of them weigh only 2lbs 10oz. My NS and Nest will both be in use as underquilts. My nephew using one of them. These things are sweet in warmer weather. Might want to stock up now.

Great idea. I use a surplus poncho liner as a top quilt with a Jacks R Better underquilt- light, and super cheap. Guide gear sells'em too:

I tested the two mummy bags out last nite on the porch. Had the Nest as an underquilt and a 3/8 pad. I had on thick wool sox, gloves, balaclava, lightweight poly bottoms, smartwool zip shirt and lightweight poly top. I felt warm to start out at around 40 degrees. I started getting chilly around my torso as it got down to 35.

Doubling up on bags inside the hammock results in a lot of layers to keep straight.... 2 lb 10 oz may seem light but there are lots of lighter warmer bags and quilts out there .... price is a good deal though.

I've got the NS. It was being used by my nephew as his underquilt. Would like another NS and Nest but you have cleaned my bank out.

I ordered two last week.....impulse buy at it's best! I figure they'll be good summer bags. I also love rectangular bags.

    GG bag incoming

UPS say my SG guide gear bag is due in today. After sweating my thingie off last night (After all, I do live in central florida) I'm ready for it.

I woke up at 2AM and switched from my mummy bag to a bag liner.

Gear report tomorrow, if UPS doesn't lie.

Ours arrived yesterday...I was pretty happy with them....with the possible exception of the stow bag. I'll probably replace it. It has sort of a "lid" thingy with too many straps! The bag is very roomy...I like the rectangular shape as I can bend my knees inside the bag. It's long enough for me at6'2". It could also be placed inside another bag if the temps dropped. All in all a great summer bag and a great deal at less than $20.
