Dumb question

Here's the dumb question for the next 3 or 4 milleniums. I just got back from Iraq &want to take my nephew camping for the 1st time. I sortakinda hurt my back there and don't want to sleep on the ground anymore. So... how do I make my own hammock under 5lbs?
No clue where to start, shapes etc.

There are a bunch of us in PA. If you live anywhere close to one of us we could probably give you some help or maybe even a loaner to try things out. Where abouts do you live in PA

Welcome peanut. But wow, this could get confusing. We now have a "peanut" and a "peanuts" on this site.

Spend some time and search and read this site. There's a tremendous amount of great info and a really great and helpful bunch.

Try a Test Hammock. You may want to put some kind of a ridgeline (or not) on it so the hammock is comfortable and not a taco.

What does a ridgeline do, other than be a place to hang stuff? What do you mean "not a taco?"
