    Today I will complete the IX UQ I'm giving her for for her WBBB hammock. I'm thinking of making an IX TQ to go with it.

    At MAHHA Dutch told me she needed summer weight gear, so I thought I would invite her to give IX the torture test!

    I've never met her, but I was impressed that she wore out her boots, yet emerged from the snowy Smokies at the front of the NOBO pack!

    Just talked to Sarah, Snowwhite is in PA. She is right at Pennmar park. I will be picking her up Friday in Boiling Springs and slacking her or giving her a zero. Whatever she chooses. I will give her some computer time to check in with you all. It is hard from the trail and when you hit town you have so many chores to do. She's been kicking some butt. I'm really honored to be her wingman through this.
    Peace Dutch

    'Classic.' A book which people praise and don't read.” ― Mark Twain

    Who cares about showers, gourmet food, using flush toilets. Just keep on walking and being away from it all.

    There are times that the only way you can do something is to do it alone.

    Slacking is when she would give her pack or most there of to Dutch to have him drive it up the trail a days hike worth, giving her a day with light load to cover greater miles. A zero day would be just that, go to town or what ever rather than covering any miles. Next day start back at the spot you left off at.

    And Great work Sarah!

    It isn't some young person's lingo it is trail talk.

    Slacking= to walk without a pack for some easy miles and usually go back to a hostel or hotel.

    Zero= means a day that you walk zero miles. Even easier then slacking.

    Here is some more;

    Nero= a day you walked almost no miles

    Yellow blazing= Hitch hiking up the trail

    Well live and learn ... must have spent to much of my youth with climbers to pick up on trail talk. Slacking ... I've hear of that now that I know what you mean.

    Thanks sire ...
