MAc thanks for the under quilt was playing with last night and 2 layers of IX makes you sweat when your just in the basement.. I just need to figure out how to get the head and toe ends to stay close to my WBBBay would a small piece of shock cord running it from the orginal shock cord old it snug to the hammock? It just looks drafty.

Mac would the sock and added some layers from the Bottom quilt be a good winter set up? Or just more layers of IX for the under quilt?

For anyone thinking of working with Mac he is AWESOME I ask a lot of questions some really dumb ones and he has answerd all of them and has been very nice the whole time, even when I ask the same question twice.. Thanks Mac

The edges of the IX UQ have to be snug against the hammock, and the bottom of the IX UQ must only just barely touch the hammock.
Judge this when you are inside the hammock. There is no way to close up the edges without your body loading the hammock.

No question about it, the IX sock with an IX UQ inside is the superior winter rig.

OK, I just purchased an UQ for my BB, and now I'm seeing posts about even lighter quilts (Really? Lighter than the original?) and a sock. Looks like I'll have to start saving for more stuff.

Any pics/descriptions of the sock? I'm a visual learner, so pics are always preferred.

Here is the thread on the IX Hammock Sock, and here is a YouTube video.

Now I'm wondering if we haven't strayed way off the topic for this thread...
