For creative uses, go to the Hennessy Hammock site. On the left, they have a list (jungle camping, kayak camping, etc. etc.) with photos and testimonials.
I went to the ground for the first time in years at the weekend.
I always pack a hooped bivvy for canoe trips just in case we can't find the perfect trees, I've not had to use it once but on Saturday I chose to use it
We'd messed about a bit between camps and I got carried away with fire duties and couldn't bothered setting up my rig. I just rolled out the bivvy, slipped a mat underneath and crawled in later.
I had pitched without much attention on a 14" diam circle of something solid, which would turn out to be near the base of my back I found out come bed time. Not too bad if I was laid on my back but in the morning my hips were sore on both sides and I'm sure I spent most of the night rolling off the big lump.
Never again I tell you
I missed this when you originally posted it. Have you seen this? I don't remember if there's an airport in there, but....
