    tasthree,
You can attach it to the loop it doesn't have to be a d-ring, just would be larksheaded to the loop instead of the d-ring! Either way it will work, my tarp ridgeline is permanently (well semi permanently) attached to my tarp, it did originally have s-biner's but everytime I slid the snake skins over my tarp and put it away, the next time I pulled it out the biner was clipped to my tarp and the skin, it was a mess, I got tired of fussing with it so I took the s-biner's off and larksheaded the prussic's directly to the d-ring's!

I finally found it but can't figure out how to link the thread. I keep getting invalid file when I try to upload. TeeDee started it on 4-20-2010 called single line friction knot. I deducted from that thread that a version of that was what I wanted to try to use to connect the RL to the tarp loops as semi permanent. As I haven't used any of these knots my deductions may prove inadequate and may need to be altered. My amsteel is the only thing that I haven't got yet. Wish I had it so I could play with it while I'm gone.

Same here. I larksheaded my prussiks to the ridgeline today. Looks like it's going to work out fine.
